He hated seeing her like this. She look so distant, like she was a million miles away when she should be here with her new daughter. He didn't know what to do to bring her back. He didn't know how to save her from this. When she groaned, his head snapped back to her, eyes still pleading as he lowered his muzzle toward her. "Cerosi, I'm here." He assured her, hoping it would help. When she whimpered, he scowled and moved closer, wanting to comfort her somehow but not sure how. Then she smiled and thanked him for watching her. He offered a gentle smile in return. "Always, Cerosi." He whispered back to her, his eyes still gleaming with worry for her. Once she got up, he held himself close by, letting her lean on him as she needed to for support. He kept his pace slow, both for her and the wobbly foal behind them. He glanced back periodically to make sure the silver filly was keeping up okay. Pride glittered in his eyes even though she wasn't his by blood. He knew if Cerosi allowed it, he would still help raise her as his own, anyway. Of course, if she wanted her daughter's true father to be in her life, he wouldn't stand in her way. He looked back at Cerosi, trying to read her features but all he could tell was that she looked weak, exhausted. "Is there anything I can do for you?" He asked softly.
