You got the chance to succeed in radio and it was a "pain in the butt" that shows some real dedication to a profession.

Spending time researching you? Nope just a good memory, and your failure is so glaring starting with your decision to "read" the news, no wonder you failed.

Beautiful music is gone just like the oldies you desire so much, the audience aged out of the money, simple, but your tiny brain is unable to understand changing media preferences of the money demos.
