悲しみと怒りに 潜む真の心を知るは森の精 もののけたちだけもののけたちだけ
Auri had been for a long star walk that night. She had circled the crater of Mecor Valley, and strolled along the winding paths between the Encora woodlands and the Ruieze fields. The self-sufficient loner was very familiar with these tricky no-man highways. But this spring has been particularly brutal to these lands. Daintily and carefully she leaps the numerous flowing streams like obstacles that block and hinder her travels. The mighty rivers had burst their banks. Some mountain faces had collapsed in the near distance. And some poor packs had been completely cut off by the snow melt from last winter.
There was a nippy bite to the winds as they howled through the long, lush grass stalks. Her nightly walk had almost been in complete pitchblack darkness. Mother moon was hiding her face tonight. A sigh fell from her lips as she saw father sun breaking the darkness with his warm light. She bows her head in his direction and starts to amble towards the East. Which had previously been unexplored territory for her. With the lay of the land so drastically different compared to last spring, it was very difficult for a stranger to tell where the freelands ended and the pack territories began.
The small wolfess pauses mid stride. Mud starts to trickle down her leg and drip from her nails. Black nose twitching in the stale scented air. Mauve eyes fall upon a big dip in the grass, a den perhaps? Slowly and carefully she wonders over to it. Little ears and nose twitching like a hedgehog. Hopefully her frame was too short to spot from a distance, and her brown and beige coat should hide her reasonably well. She thinks, but she’s not sure, that she may be close to a pack here. Perhaps a little too close. Her little paws are aching after last night's long walk. She decides to catch some sleep for a few hours and then leave before noon. No one would even need to know she was here. Besides, evidently whoever’s napspot this was had’t frequented here for a few days at best!
