Frey is a little fierce, a little wild. Independence was the only way he was going to carve his mark onto this earth, and he would use that to get as far as possible. There is something dark and deeply ambitious inside the colt. It lives in his chest, and he’d fan that flame over and over and over. Independent streak a mile wide. When he was older, it would make Frey dangerous. For now, it makes him at least a little bit endearing.
He looks to the shadow of the man in the moonlight, curious. Frey had startled the man, and his brow furrows. Why would this man be out here alone? Though large, he’s still a colt, and Frey is curious. Stamping of feet, the flashing of the whites of the large stallion’s eyes… why? There is no fear in the general’s son. No, the only change in his expression is the flickering of Frey’s ears.
I know. Well… he wasn’t stupid, at least. His eyebrow quirked. The creature spoke like a dork, and Frey was thankful that the darkness would obscure his expression. Wouldn’t want to be rude, despite the fact that he didn’t have much control over his face. Frey studies the stranger as best he can with the small amount of light available. There’s a bout of uncomfortable laughter, and it breaks the ice for the colt.
“Did you all come here together?” It was strange that they’d get separated. Had they left together? Had they come together? Frey is a bit perplexed by the situation, but he supposed it wasn’t any of his business. Why had he even asked? Right. No, it was okay. It would probably be a reasonable thing to ask. “Do you need somewhere safe to go?” The man is, well, a man. For a stallion, the Lagoon was one of the safest places you could be. Frey was prepared to take in another stray.
