PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

HEROES GET REMEMBERED

The weathered, aged warrior had seen the leadership nominations come through. She’d seen her own daughter put herself forward as Codebreaker, and couldn’t help think the child weak for it. What good were politics when you could fight. Muscle, in her days, was what got things done. Though Heart had been a thinker, had been a Codebreaker, had been a Prime Minister, Anath had never seen her weak. There was a difference. There was a difference in Bane’s blood, and the child didn’t seem to understand that. Anath would need to speak with Róisín, would need to make sure she was ready. It would come in time.

Clarity’s interjection was one that didn’t necessarily surprise Anath. What did surprise her, though, was the fact that she hadn’t put herself forward for one of the positions herself. She’d spoken out with a fire that Anath could respect, and one she could relate to. Spoken up, yet… hadn’t offered a solution. Maybe her fire had been tempered with age (doubtful)-- more likely, she understood her time here would likely be too limited to step to their helm.

She came upon the pair of painted mares, studying each carefully. Oswin, she’d met upon her return. The golden creature had a history of her own on these Islands, one that was yet unknown to Anath. She would learn in time. The stranger of the two, however, was something that she hadn’t encountered. “Some opinions you’ve got, Clarity.” Anath’s tone is casual, a glimmer in her green eyes. She’s never been much for social graces, forgive her. Greying in the face and littered with scars, the champagne mare is relaxed in the way that she addressed the younger women. Too old for fuss, these days.

"Anath." She offers the introduction as an afterthought. The champagne mare was accustomed to figuring everyone simply knew who she was, at least among the Islands. Times had changed. She was learning.
