PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

legends never die

Pure, innocent instinct. Bane is an echo of her father, and playing to that instinct was something she could rely on. Rely on her heart, rely on her thoughts, rely on everything she could. Bane had made a bid for Codebreaker, and it was unopposed. Running unopposed… well, the election would be called soon, but Bane had a feeling she knew how things would pan out. The champagne mare would be what the Peak needed her to be, though the concept of a politician that disliked politics made it something strange.

But she wasn’t concerned. Bane wasn’t worried. With her sisters by her side, of course, she was invincible. Nothing could touch her. Nothing could shake her, and there was nothing that Bane couldn’t handle. Well… there was probably one thing she couldn’t handle. Her mother’s return to the Islands was something that the champagne mare hadn’t addressed yet. It was something she didn’t care to address. It would have been better for the ragged old general to remain a ghost, in Bane’s mind. Being in her mother’s shadow once more? No.

Tumultuous dreams had pulled Bane from sleep earlier than she usually would have allowed. Still bleary, she took a post on the mountain to look over the Crossing. Not the most social creature by nature, but doing her best. It was a splendid morning, truly-- sky bleeding pinks and oranges as the sun came up. Things were quiet, and all was well. Somewhere far off, Bane could see the form of a slight woman, moving nearer to the Peak.

Collecting lost souls was the name of the game around here, and Bane couldn’t say she was surprised to see another. Nearing, and then starting the climb-- the champagne mare figured she could meet her half way. As she neared, however, Bane realized the stranger was still damp from the sea. Truly, a new arrival. She called out softly, confident where she stood upon the mountain. Surefooted, as the rocky slope had always been her home. At this point, though, Bane was awkward-- what would she say? “Welcome to the Peak,” right, okay, good start. “Have you only just arrived?” Right, that seemed like reasonable question for a stranger. Sure. Bane would go with that.
