Dunno who Dale is but society failed here when it gave the blessing for young people to go out wilding on any excuse, the NRA for pushing unRegulated open carry, and Republican state legislatures egged on by their national party to go against common sense about weapons.
Everyone of Congressional age remembes when Dodge City's Marshal Dillon forced drug cowboys to check their guns at th Marshal's office before heading to the saloons.
We boomers know better but Republicans want the power more than they want a democracy and a respectable country.
The kid shot in self-defense all right, I would have too with such a handy gun and me out wilding, looking for adventure, and finding it. Parents are just part of society and we all share the guild for what we have done, and also for what we refused to do; we ve seen this coming, seen it in the murder of little first graders, killing by bullied Colorado high school rejects and more.
This just just a byproduct of our European nature, our media, and our independent streak that will probably all get us killed by a pandemic we could have prevented.
As a nation, we deserve what we're getting and if Sandy Hook didn't wake us up, nothing will.
I too have been saying it on national websites for years and so have many. But there are so many places where we can voice our disgust and reason that everyone can't possibly get the message. Not when the Foxes hide behind the first amendment and their advertisers too. Replies:
