PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

a reply,

róisín
Oswin,

I apologize for my tardy reply. Family matters took me away for a short time, but I am back and eager to serve our sisterhood. As previously discussed, I will take up observing the Commons for any force-claims and put a halt to them.

I can also attest to King Solomon's worries regarding the stallion Rougaru and the mare Nyimara. Rougaru's relationship with the Ridge leaders was fraught with tension, and recent rumors suggest that he has finally managed to chase away the Ridge's guardians with his schemes, thereby destabilizing the region.

I have not personally had any interactions with the silver stallion, and most news that I have heard is only heresay and secondhand. I would gladly travel with you to Paradise once the season changes and the danger is lessened to interview him ourselves to assess the danger. I would hazard a guess that he will not be forthcoming about any prisoners he is keeping, but it will be much easier to gauge the mood and disposition of the herd from up close. Perhaps while we are on Atlantis, we can meet with the various other herds on Atlantis to offer our home to their daughters as you have suggested.

As Bagheera has voiced, I am still reluctant to fully trust the Lagoon. However, change is hard. Both for the men of the Lagoon and the women of the Peak. It is vital that we place our previous ill-will into a context that will allow growth. If we do not give them a chance to change, we can only blame ourselves if they forever stay the villains.

That being said, I am not willing to give them a blank pass for wrongdoings either. I am glad that you have already settled this matter with the Lagoon, but I wish that you had been able to free her faster. A season of imprisonment around reckless stallions in the heat of autumn could have spelled her death, and I wish that we had taken that threat more seriously than crossing our fingers that they would release her when they were done with her at the end of autumn.

I am proud to call you our General. And I know that moving forward will require us to adjust to each other's styles. I have faith that you did what you could, but the agreement you've made does lessen my trust in the Lagoon and in you.

Your General,
Róisín
