Refusing to get vaccinated is an easy-out for losers who joined the US military, then realized they don't have what it takes to be in the US military.
If you can't conform and comply with the military life-style and you don't want to get a Bad Conduct Discharge, NOW you can use your refusal to get a COVID vaccine as an excuse to get your worthless ass out of the military early, prior to fulfilling your enlistment.
