You would think that living in Paradise would feel like its name: Paradise. However, Kaari found it further from ever since her father's older daughter Nyimara had returned. Kaari didn't know much other than a great tragedy had occurred that had driven a rift between the Ridge and Paradise. Ever since, Rougaru had patrolled tirelessly for what felt like a long time. It was only by pure luck that Kaari was able to slip from the borders and make her way to the beach and thrust her small, lithe frame into the sea. The immediate waters around Atlantis were much warmer than other parts of the Islands. She presumed Salem may be the only place like Atlantis, but dry. Nevertheless, her legs worked tirelessly to pull her somewhere, anywhere other than Paradise for at least a small sense of freedom. This may prove to be her boldest act at her young age. Her mother had dropped her off and disappeared and she often wondered where she'd gone. It must be nice to enjoy such freedom. She huffed, her head straining above the waters as her hooves finally made purchase on the sandy beach. Where was she, she wondered? She could smell several mixtures of scents in the land she had landed on and she figured this must be a common ground of her kind.
