Monitoring the Commons was certainly not Roisin's favorite thing to do. The long hours of tedium were often unbroken, and for the girl who thrived in the chaos of her large family, it was agony.
Movement across the Commons drew her mismatched gaze and she studied the mare for a moment with interest. The Peak could use more motivated sisters to engage them beyond the sleepy apathy that had settled over them. Before she could approach however, the stallion she hated third most (behind only Cullen and Aranck) began to approach her. Immediately, Roisin moved in that direction as well, believing the worst of him.
Regardless of what they had told the Peak, the Lagoon had continued to keep captives after her discussion with Rade, and while Roisin couldn't fathom why Oswin had allowed it, she had no intention of letting it happen under her nose again.
"Absolutely not," she answered, ears tucked loosely back against her poll, halting only when she formed a defensive triangle beside the mare in question. "This general," she couldn't hide the tenor of dislike that underscored his title in her mouth, " is attempting to take you to the Lagoon, a land where only stallions live." Roisin didn't elaborate further on why that was not a particularly great place to be for a lone mare in the midst of Fall. "Unless I'm wrong," she challenged Tyr directly then, her hard gaze rising to him. "Where is it you were planning to take her?"
In hindsight, Roisin realized she was being rather rude. She should have introduced herself or attempted to win the mare over with kindness first, but those things seemed small in comparison to her need to stand up against Tyr, especially. Oswin may have fallen prey to his lies, but Roisin knew the truth of who he was and who he had kept as company before the Lagoon decided to turn a new leaf.
