Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

[[OOC: I broke my table so uhhHHH here have a post without one for now and I'll update it when it's fixed]]

They were an odd sight, really. Frey hadn’t really… he hadn’t really sorted out what being a father meant, yet here he was. The child moved at his side on long, clumsy legs. He was a spindly thing. In time, it would only become more and more clear that Thor was built like his mother, despite the blessing of his father’s height. Well, maybe that wasn’t the only thing that would find some clarity as time went on. It’s okay, though, for now. The same sooty coloring plays across their backs, in their manes, brushes down toplines. Yes, father and son.

In their mannerisms too, the pair are similar. Thor has picked them up, a child of intense study. He wants to know, so he watches. He wants to learn, so he sees. Curiosity. Thor is sheer childlike wonder and a curiosity that can’t be held back. Filled with questions. Filled with a hunger for life that maybe… just maybe would help that same hunger return to Frey too.

It was wishful thinking that this hunger would return in a rush, all at once. Instead it’s gradual, day by day. One day would be not quite as bad as the one before it, and the next a bit more tolerable. On and on– did it have a limit? Did it have a ceiling? When would his good fortune run dry? Frey would be disappointed but unsurprised when that day finally came. For now? For now he’d do his best to enjoy his time with his son. Do his best to enjoy the summer, and the warmth that came with it, and the sunshine. The good days were nearly always fleeting.

Thor spots the champagne stallion first. A stranger, one whose scent he’s unfamiliar with. “Who?” The child’s question. No one could really be certain if the question was to Frey or the strange man himself, but it’s certainly loud enough for the newcomer to hear. The red stallion paused, peering through the dense foliage of the Lagoon. Well, Thor was nothing if not observant. Unsatisfied with the time it had taken for someone to answer, he repeated emphatically– Who?

Frey did what he could to stifle his chuckle. “Dunno, let’s find out,” though the words were directed to the small boy at his shoulder, they’re not quiet. All of it can plainly be heard by the amber stallion. Frey waits until they’re closer before actually addressing the man, though. A respectable enough distance, and carefully ensuring that he’s positioned himself between the stranger and his young son. “Who’re you?” The words are casual, his posture relaxed to the point of lazy as he allows his weight to settle over one hip.
