1. What are your thoughts on changing from a 4-month year to a 8-month year?
I think with some refinement it’s a great idea! I definitely understand that life has been getting in the way for a lot of us lately, so a bit of time to work out the plots we want to work out would help with that falling-behind feeling.
2. Do you think the battle rules wording for challenges issued/answered should be adjusted to per month instead of per season? Why or why not?
I think it should stay as per season. The experience cap is pretty high and characters rarely ever meet it, and still advance steadily. I don’t think it would affect anything IC or OOC to keep things as per season, and might even encourage players to go for things like raids and actual challenges in order to meet the cap. Maybe random events could stay as once per month? Only because they’re super fun, lol. I understand that it would be simpler to change them to per season as well, though.
3. Do you think the experience limit should stay as a per-season cap or have the wording changed to per month?
I think it would be simplest to have it go whichever way the battle rules go. I’m still of the opinion that both can remain as per-season.
4. Do you think raids and escapes should be adjusted to per month or stay as per season?
5. Should the Lagoon/Peak elections stay as once a year in an 8-month season? Or should there be a second election period?
Per season as well. I agree with Uforia’s point that raids and escapes are threads, and having time to finish out those threads would be nice! Same with elections; there’s not a lot of drama happening in Peak and Lagoon just yet, so having the time to develop these slower plots between elections could be good. I also don’t think it will get in the way of faster-moving plots if they do pick up. Replies:
