Mirella had watched it all in horror... the cliff crumbling beneath her mothers hooves, the violent sea swallowing her mothers body - yet she never saw her mother surface. She had stood poised at the edge of the cliff, worriedly scanning the raging waters for any sign of her mother. Hour after hour she had searched the jagged rocks below, the sandy shores, and every inch beyond. By nightfall the pit in her stomach grew heavier and heavier.

The frigid ocean water's wrap themselves around the young bay dun mare as she swims towards familiar shores. She had been just a yearling when she had been sent to live with her grandmother off the Islands. Mother had always spoke in hushed tones when she spoke of father - the Wolf King - and never once did she speak good words over him. There was always a hiss in her voice and a stiffening of her body; she clearly feared her father.

Now, she knew it was time to return to her birthplace.. to explore and find the answers to questions that have long been buried.

The young bay dun mare strides through the frothy sea and onto the hardened sands. She pauses momentarily to take in all that the land before her offers, from the sea grasses that wave in the breeze to the conifirous trees. She moves further inland to settle beneath the branches of an oak tree. She was uncertain of what is to unfold but for the time being she would gather her strength.

She would find him... The Wolf King. And make him pay for his transgressions against her mother.
