PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

It's going to be fine. Yet, as her multi-colored gaze rose to scan the higher reaches of the Peaks that she now lead, doubt lingered. The mantle she'd nominated herself for sat heavily around her shoulders, pressing her hooves so firmly into the rocky soil that she wasn't sure how to even take the first step, let alone where to begin with her sisters. As it had with Oswin, their silence had said volumes. They were no more certain of her than she had been of Oswin.

Which was more than fair.

After all, what had she really done as their General apart from block a few challenges (when the other sisters didn't rush into before her), and get into arguments with Oswin? Why would they trust her?

Róisín had allowed a day or so to pass before making her way to the lower reaches of the mountains which was as close to the mid-point of the territory as she was able to reach. From here, she lifted her pale muzzle and called out for the sisters that remained. She had ideas of what they should do next, but she wanted to hear from her sisters as well. There were yet a few faces that the dun mare had not yet officially met that she was eager to get to know, especially Reef. The little roan mare had been the first to lift her voice in favor of supporting Róisín, and for that, she would always be grateful.

Anath had spoken up too, which Róisín found encouraging. It had not been the right time to nominate herself for General, but Róisín knew she would probably end up supporting her in whichever position she ended up wanting to run for. The dun mare didn't know much about her apart from knowing that she - like Oswin - had prior experience with the Peak and it's leadership. Having someone that didn't hate her to talk to and get advice from would certainly be welcome.

Her gaze cut across the landscape again, searching for anyone that would come to her call. She wanted to hear from her sisters, to know their hopes and dreams and visions of the future. She'd spent so long trying to defend what she thought they wanted, that she wasn't even sure if shew as correct in her assumptions. Should they keep trying for peace? Now that the Lagoon had switched hands, she wasn't even sure if they were going to remain friendly or if - as she feared - there was new trouble brewing to the south.
