Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

No. Her voice matched his own, and Tyr felt his facial expression twitch in what wanted to be the same contorted anger that he had expressed in the face of Psychedelic. Though he managed not to, he did briefly wonder how he had gone from being a fierce-some boss to a condescended boy. Despite how badly his leg hurt, the stallion did not leave the cushion of space that Oswin had left between them. She had come here into the devil’s den; she would not be awarded such safety as she seemed to want. Setting his pain aside, he strode over to her with as little of a limp as he could muster, and his ears still fully buried beneath his mane.

“Shouldn’t you be the one answering that, Oswin?” he hissed now that his nose was nearly touching her own. Though he could hold himself much higher than her due to their height difference, Tyr did not. His heated gaze glaring into her own instead. “Coming here uninvited, unwanted, poking your judgmental Peak nose into everything? What right do you have to ask me anything?” Regret, it bloomed in his chest and in the pit of his stomach the moment he growled out those words. But it was for the painted mare’s own good. She needed to get out of the Lagoon, away from the changes that had been made, and to keep herself safe from the very thing that was drowning him.

Tyr didn’t want this. He didn’t want any of it. The stallion wanted to go back to that night beneath the stars upon the Peak’s mountain top. To gaze at the stars and to feel the warmth of her touch as it grazed across his skin. To feel the peace in his heart of knowing everything was going to be okay. Dare he even say he had been excited for the future, knowing that they would eventually share a child. Now they shared two; one he wished he knew more of, and another he hadn’t even met. If they lead normal lives, if they shared a herd as nature intended, it would not be that way. Instead, they had chosen a different sort of path. One that now wedged itself between them.

The giant stallion had never felt more alone in his life.
