KNOW Before Speaking

Prior to the Chiefs playing in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley followed tradition by betting a colleague a plate of Kansas City barbecue that the Chiefs would win.

But, the barbecue restaurant Hawley chose was Joe’s KC, which (we know) is on the Kansas side of the state line.

I’m sure Josh spends all his time in Washington, D.C. He knew he HAD to include BBQ when making a bet for a Kansas City team, and figured Joe’s KC must be in Kansas City.

Like most of the 100 Senators in D.C. supposedly representing their constituents, Hawley doesn’t know much about his “home” state. This would have been a good opportunity for him to learn more about Kansas City BBQ.
