Chicago residency is not just a condition of our employment, it�s state law. It�ll have to be fought one day within the courts. All I�d ask of our union is, look at other cities who�ve beaten residency (Milwaukee, Philadelphia) and follow their strategy.

It�s to the point now I may �divorce� my wife just so the kids can live in the suburbs and avoid the crime infesting every area of the city.
