Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

It was only as his hooves struck sand and rock that the young stallion dared to look back across the shallow sea at Salem, at home. He wasn't sure what the future held, but the grullo knew enough of himself to know that he had to leave his sire's shadow to figure it out. Maybe Rougaru had plans for him, and maybe he didn't. It was likely the latter being as late an addition to the family as he was. It didn't matter much. Not now anyway.

The silver-stained male cocked his head a moment, considering how small and far away the Desert looked from here. To others, it was probably a short distance, a jaunt if you will. Being his first time leaving home, it felt like an ocean away. Which it was.. relatively speaking. It's all about perspective after all.

It didn't take the boy long to get caught up and let his hooves run away with him. Before he realized it, he was looking at the northern border of the Lagoon. Canis wasn't quite sure how he managed to dodge meeting any one of the stallions that called this land their home, but he was quite sure it wasn't by skill. More like a freak occurrence surely? And just when he started feeling a little cocky, Canis saw someone not far off.

His matched ears began to splay like a foal caught doing something one shouldn't. Was he? Maybe? Was any male just welcome to roam here as he pleased? He didn't know these things, and it vexed him. Maybe he'd ask.. His nerves bundled with the unanswered questions. Would he risk a possible ass beating for being on their turf just to ask if he was cool to be here?

Canis
