In the warmth of the Atlantis sun, Tyr had gotten sleepy. It was no surprise for the large draft stallion to seek sanctuary in the shade of the palm trees deeper in the jungle at this time of the day and take a nap. So, when the painted mare came to his side, it is only as she brushes along his side and places a kiss upon his cheek that he stirs away. Her scent had kept him from startling, and he let out a deep rumbling nicker in reply. Turning his head, he brushed his lips along her forehead briefly, before trailing down to her muzzle to share breath with her. “I always miss you, when you aren’t next to me.” he murmured. A small smile tugging at his lips as he recalled the seasons they would spend apart while leading their separate lives. Tyr could never imagine doing that again. It was the same need that kept him grounded here, and out of the Lagoon.


Tyr wondered, briefly, if he should confess to his longing that made his heart ache at times. He had made the Lagoon his home for such a long time. Even with all its adversities, and the scornful looks of outsiders, the golden stallion had never once thought of leaving it. Not until she had beckoned him from his red-filled haze to live in this peaceful place. But he hadn’t been the only one to give up his long-loved home. Oswin had lived in the Peak before he had even come to the Islands.


“Do you ever think of going back?” the question falls from his lips before he means too. But Tyr does not regret the question. “The Peak…. Your sisters. I know you must miss your home.” But just as he had not left her to return to the Lagoon, Tyr did not fear that she would leave him to return to the Peak.
