Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Ghosts whisper in my ears.(Open)

A loud blast of air through nostrils could be heard in the lagoon. The sound startled many birds and they flew from their places in the trees with flapping wings and startled cries. Eyes of a dangerous gleam flashed as the moon's light sliced through the canopy and marked the ground below. Muscles coiled under a large frame as blunt teeth became bared and flashed in the moonlight, aiming for a body that was buckskin in color with spots that fit almost perfectly into their sunkissed fur.

Heaving a loud breath, a scream pierced the air as a body with a good bite mark left that of the lagoon, ears tipped in black pinned as their angry eyes flashed their vibrant green. This horse had come to see a certain lagoon stallion, but the one they searched for was not the one that they had known as a youngster. This new version of their best friend they could not tell if it was being protective or if they hated her, but the mare fled with anger and tears into that of a different island, hopefully towards Luthien and the forest.

Closing red stained lips, Nahawi stood at the ocean's edge in the lagoon. His ears were pinned to his head as the eye with a scar blinked against the moonlight, tender to any direct light and usually covered with his forelock now. Jerking his head up and down, Nahawi screamed a cry as his front legs lifted off of the sandy beach and kicked at the sky, his anger palpable. He was trying to save his friend, but the buckskin Krubsnapper did not deserve the way he had treated her. He had only bitten her, but still. Nahawi would never condone that treatment, but his friend had not listened to standard reasoning.

Snorting out a breath once his hooves hit the beach again, Nahawi stood there with his tail picked up and his head arched to his chest. His sides heaved with breath, but the pain in his eyes spoke of the bond he just broke. “This is stupid.” Came his voice, the lingering tune of it seeming meant for someones ears, but no one was there. Nahawi was alone, just like before as he sighed and stared at the fall moon. Soon winter would hit and then spring, but he knew he would not get to see any foals yet again this year. He was growing lonely without a family, but as he looked back to his current him the feeling dissipated. He had a home, it was just different than what he thought a stallion should be in.

“Home is here, with these stallions.” Brothers, thats what he had heard of the others call everyone else. Yet, he could not get that word to crawl from his lips. Nahawi had a brother out there, a stallion as dark as night except for the white blaze upon his face. Maybe Nahawi would see his half brother. The lagoon could really use a stallion like Larkin… They really could.
