WIth his ears flicking, Nahawi looked about the two of them for a moment. Nervousness began to set in, knowing that he was saying the wrong things. That emotion was not a good look on a Boss and he knew that, but he was anything but secretive unless he had to be. The red dun wanted to be a good horse, one that others could look at and without questioning know that he was there for change in the better way. Nahawi just wanted this place to lose its crimson underlying stain that had been placed by those before him. The problem with that though was the fact that many horses, new and old, knew the past of this place and he guaranteed that while he was the Boss now striving for change, those under his leadership were out causing a mess of everything.


Perking his ears towards Rehoboam, Nahawi listened to his words some more. The fact that what Rehoboam said was something Nahawi already figured was a bit easing on that regard. He knew just from seeing Vadim before everything that those that lived here in the Lagoon were far from belly up pups. These stallions would run over him and fight for what they wanted if he gave them an inch of a chance, much less a foot or more of free space to even think of the dark deeds so many were used to. It was not a pretty thought, but he also knew that he could not mother hen everyone here. It would not be fair to the horses of this place neither would it be for himself. Nahawi would have to force the change, be it in small increments or large, and be ready for the backlash that would come from the horses that lived here.


At the last bit, Nahawi felt his ears tuck against his head and his lips quiver. From what he had seen before, it would not be a good idea to lean on those that you do not truly know. “I will have to search outside of the Lagoon for aid. They are used to the past and I guarantee that they will laugh at me if I ask for help when it comes to this if not try to take my fur from my flesh.” Nahawi did not like speaking ill of others, but he guaranteed that they were if not already speaking ill of him if not plotting his death. He had set all the trinkets and children free which would leave a bad taste in many mouths. “Who would you suggest would be a good horse to ask for help from on the next steps needed?”
