Not sure the 16 yr old kids cesta actually broke, that headhunter backhand that missed Arriettas head by 2 inches at the most was a misfire by my observation! I have broke many cestas over the years throwing backhands and they always flew out to the left or right side or straight down. IMO the kid played it off as a cracked cesta to save face, maybee im wrong but doubt it, I beleive a kid playing pro ball at 16 yrs old is just too young because they just arnt mature enough to make proper decisions! The kid is a really good player and has a bright future for sure but im Very happy that Arrietta missed a bullet that would have been very ugly if he was a few inches taller.
