Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Vitam impendere vero. (Garmr)

DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO TRUTH.

Gentle winds pulled through the Lagoon and entranced the swamp like lands. Snakes and many other small animals slithered and swamp through the bogs, their bodies lithe with every movement, much like the stallion that was slowly plodding through the marshy place he called home. Nahawi’s blue eyes blazed on the distance, his ears tucking tight to his head as he searched for a certain brother in this damned place. Nahawi had been good, had done his best to better the Lagoon and now Garmr had hit a straw that the red dun could no longer allow to be poked and prodded at.

Moving through the muck and mire, Nahawi was being as stealthy as he could be before finally his blue gaze landed upon his brother that was as evenly matched in battle training as he was. The Lagoon boss wanted to change this feeling in his gut, but the anger that coursed through him would not be tamed. It did not want to stay silent any longer and just simmer under everything else that made Nahawi what he was. It wanted to go out and harm that of Garmr, prove to this darker brother that Nahawi was anything but a wimp.

Lifting a large hoof, Nahawi stomped it into the water just as he set his gaze upon Garmr. His red ears tucked tight to his head as he gave a loud angry snort. His tail was held high and his neck arched, anger palpable from his frame. The red dun was standing there, ready to strike but not willing to go first in this battle. He had enough knowledge to know that he should wait and calculate this larger brother of his. Nahawi wanted change here, but it seemed that this horse in particularly would be making this all the more difficult.

“Garmr, what have you been speaking behind my back?” He finally spoke, knowing that the battle could not be the first time Garmr said less than nice things about him. Stallions were one thing and one thing only, dark and twisted. Nahawi might want change, but the dark beast that held his gut was the true force of any stallion that wished to hide it or not. You could not be a stallion without darkness lining every fiber of your being. It just took one to work with it, to hone it, to be a deadly force. It took a completely different horse to work with it, grow it, and wait to use it until absolutely necessary.
