Mea Culpa.

MY OWN FAULT.

Following Snapdragon with his head faintly lowered, Rutger let his hooves glide over the Paradise soil. He had been here longer than his niece, but already the young mare was moving over this territory like a leader and it eased the tension upon his shoulders. His green eyes held a faint light of hope as he allowed himself to follow Snapdragon yet again through this glorious territory with all its life and safety that would soon enough be built thanks to the way Snapdragon was slowly working her way through the territories and hoping to build friends instead of enemies.

As the vines from the tree’s fell around him and softly brushed his grey speckled red body, Rutger lifted his gaze up to the silver bay mare before him and Snapdragon with a faint twitch of his withers and chest. Rutger had not met many horses since he arrived here in Paradise and being brought in front of a mare that did not entirely have a home thanks to Siren made his blood faintly boil and his need to offer her a palace strong. He wanted her to be welcome, but not every horse would want to be with him considering what he had done before Snapdragon claimed Paradise.

Listening to Snapdragon, Rutger gave a nod as well but remained silent for a while after Snapdragon finished speaking. His coat faintly trembled with nerves, but he held himself strong as he let out a breath. “I… I have come to meet you miss. I hope we are not a bother.” Rutger was a very shy stallion, his need to make people happy stronger than his need to care for himself. It showed, but he did his best to act like nothing affected him…. And half the time it did not work in his favor one bit.
