Octavius stood still, his ears swiveling and well on alert. The way he felt his gut twist with unease had him slowly turning when he heard hooves over the soil and then a laugh. His dark eyes narrowed faintly, but he said nothing as the mare came closer. His body did move though, the bulk of his frame stepping in front of Axelle with a poised threat. His sister meant the world to him and he would never let someone harm her, be it another mare or stallion.


Hearing her words, Octavius felt his gut drop as his ears tucked tight into his mane. Anger rumbled a faint sound from his chest, but the darker hued stallion stopped it with a grunt. His thick legs shifted a bit when he felt Axelle lean more into him, her coughing making him grow even more uneasy as he gave a snort. “The commons…” Was his first bit of words finally, his docked tail lashing against his hips. It was from an old injury, the short tail, but he never let it stop him from what he was meant to do.


“If any vile beast can whisk us away, what is stopping you from doing the same?” Octavius always saw the worst in others… Add on the fact that his sister was wheezing faintly behind and against him had the stallion volatile. He wanted to push her away from the commons, but that would be rude when they were so obviously having a conversation with another. That did not stop him though from slowly dragging a front foot through the dirt. If this mare gave him any reason to attack, he would gladly do so.
