In 1989, a (not striker player) from Miami Jai Alai came to Fort Pierce Jai Alai to play, and in a night game, tried to hit a striker player with the ball, whom the company had agreed to play along with others from the strike. When they met on the waiting bench they had an argument and a fight, they came to blows, but the Players Manager separated them, and nothing happened, I don't know if the non-striker player apologized to the other player, (I think not). The strike created a very bad atmosphere, between strikers and non-strikers players. I saw that episode because I was a judge on the cantxa, I don't remember, if the player was fined, I also think that the company sent that player to start a fight with the players of the strike who had come to play after a year and a half in the picket line.
