EVANGALINE
mare | 13.0hhs | grey (chestnut) | of the lost island whilds

Standing there with her dark eyes upon the stallion, Evangaline too him in. Her mind was clear enough now to stay in the present and what she saw before her was a colorful stallion that was kind to a point. He was interesting with how he spoke of himself and his home, as if she would know what Salem or the Badlands were. She wasn't all too sure of him yet, but currently he stopped her from taking the wrong steps and she would never pay someone what they deserve by stomping on their toes. He had saved her life which gave him a bit of leeway on her thoughts towards others.

Perking her ears, the small mare listened a bit more before she nodded and reached her head around to then eye him as he nudged her shoulder. She should have exchanged breaths first, but she wasn’t used to that either. Sighing softly, the mare then let her nose reach forward like his had right off the bat to see if he would with to still exchange breaths. She would try to learn the way of the islands, but having been captive for so long without much time with other horses, Evangaline was like a fish out of water and unsure of what she should really do.

Catching his eye when he spoke of a swim, Evangaline thought for a moment before giving a faint shrug. “I made it here a month ago with a swim. I doubt the ocean will take me away on this one.” Evangaline, the ever sad mare, just let him decide what their next steps were. She would follow him, learn his ways, and learn what this place was like. There was no way she would be worse off now than she had once been back where she came. She would do okay here, maybe. This stallion couldn't be leading her to death… hopefully.

Shaking her head, the mare moved forward faintly towards the ocean. She had no idea where Salem was, but she began her trek to the nearest beach she remembered, her head tilting to look over her shoulder at the stallion as she swished her fluffy tail. “Lets swim before it gets dark?” She gently spoke, her tone soft as she halted forward movement and now waited for him, her knees barely above the eaten grass she stood in.
