Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

The pup listened to the ravens many questions, and ramblings. Should he reply? Or should he not? Forrest replied anyway- 'I am alone because...' Pain suddenly became clear in his eyes, the eyes that would most proberly never be happy again. 'I'm alone for my father commited suicide, and my brother died of a sickness' He shivered, not with cold, but because a frightening memory of his father had suddenly sprang to his mind- his own father had made Forrest watch- watch him end his life. The pup's eyes widened in horror- he had told himself he would never think of that again! To distract himself he answered the seacoond question of Fairbank's. 'My name is Forrest, I guess I am cold, somewhere down there, but I have hidden the coldness deep' He thought that maybe the raven would not undertand- but it was a trick he had learned- push all bad thoughts and feelings to the back of your mind, and dont let them break free. He had learned this trick a couple of months ago- just after the death of his mother. The raven muttered more insane things which Forrest could not quite grasp the meaning, and then came the question- why? 'I did it to forget' He said, a statement, with a truthful meaning. He was in the middle of the mountain now- half way to the top. He wondered if the raven would come with him- if he did not, he was un sure if he would ever see the bird again. 'Coming?' the pup said, turning his head, and marching upwards, continuing his life- threatening journey.
