Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Sigurd was growing into a fine young wolf. Strong of mind, body, and heart. Today, he was venturing out of the pack. The young male spent a large amount of his time building his strength and working on his tracking skills. Not too long before he started really working, for he had hoped to train with his father, one of the fastest wolves around. Hrafn's speed was unmatched by few, using natural resistance to build his prowess on land. But Sigurd didn't have the tall, slender form of his father. The white, black speckled, brute was thicker but taller than most for his age. He heard his father mention something about a brother who towered over most. It was quite possible Sigurd was going to be similar to this unknown uncle in size and build in just a short time.

His pale blue eyes darted this way and that, following every movement that potentially meant something. Sigurd had to be constantly vigilant and constantly aware if he ever had a chance of finding his father. He had no idea why he'd disappeared, but he hoped it was for a good reason. Sigurd didn't doubt it broke his mother's heart, though he didn't see her or his brother Orion much lately. He was of a one track mind, even as he weaved in and out of the trails winding from Ice pack towards Ice Mountain.

Sigurd liked working on the slopes, only because breathing in the thinner air was more difficult, and if you could get good there, you were golden. The chill up on the peak didn't trouble him. It was no different than home. The mostly white male's fur ruffled with the high elevation winds as he moved further and further upwards. He wasn't completely unaware of the siblings, for their scent was following a similar trail to his own path.

Indeed, as he drew closer to the top, he could see the wolf/husky siblings examining the world below. Sigurd offered a smile as he reached their location. "Quite a view, isn't it?" he said, glancing back and out over the land, "Though I'm told you get a better lay of the land if you go to the namesake peak."
