Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Texas took a deep breath of sweet frozen air. It wasn't stale and thick like the air he was oh so used to breathing. Up here, upon the high peak, the air was thin and pure, untouched by human machines. It felt so good to finally be free. Free to roam wherever his heart desired. He had seemed to, quite literally, gone wherever the wind took him. He was sure he stumbled across this land for a reason, and he was also sure that he was going to do great things here, where he could thrive without the restrictions of a pack. Always being forced to tag along to the pack hunt, having to find food for himself and the rest of the pack, as most were too old to hunt. But now none of that weight rested upon his shoulders. He did, however, feel a bit bad for the old wolves, having no young body to to do things theirs were too frail and fragile to do. His father could do it, he told himself. And they would find someone eventually.

As he watched the sky, Texas spotted a bird soaring the skies. His eyes followed the figure as it flew around the mountain, soon leaving his sight. He smiled, romping up a few more meters before stopping again to look over the valleys below. He spotted a beach that lead off to a mountain. Interesting. The beach had snow as close to the water as it could get without being melted by the water. He watched intently as the waves rolled into the shallow end, crashed, and retreated. It was very hard to see, and he wasn't even sure if it was real or just his brain making it seem like he could see the tiny little waves. he would go there next. The sounds of waves hitting the earth... Very soothing.

As he was watching, he was completely unaware of the 'bird' diving down towards him. But when he landed, Texas spun around quickly, baring his teeth in defense. He was new to the lands, no one could blame him for being frightened by someone showing up behind him when he had thought the land to be deserted. When his eyes made contact with the wings perched between the collie's shoulder blades, it took all of Texas's willpower not to scream or faint. Wings belonged to birds. Wings most certainly did not belong on canines. He stumbled back, the snarl wiped off of his face. When the mysterious dog began to speak, Texas jumped yet again, then relaxed when Toric smiled.

"Pardon me, Sir..." Tex spoke hesitantly and cautiously, as if the strange collie would attack at the first mistake he made. "You have frightened me, I did not mean to be so rude. I thought this place was uninhabited this time of year. Am I in your territory? I'll go..." He turned around, quickly making his way down the mountain. But something went off in his brain that made him spin right around five steps into the journey down, and march right beck up to the brute. "I have to ask," He spoke, more sure of himself now. "Am I hallucinating, or do you have a pair of wings growing out of your back?" He tilted his head, half hoping the collie would say he was hallucinating, and half hoping he would say they were real. "I am new to this land, and am very confused." He shook his head in apology, hoping Toric would tell him about the wings anyways.
