Coming back seemed to have been good for the painted man. His dreams were still haunted by the pale woman he could never forget, but his waking thoughts were filled with those he had come across so far. The oddly exotic Kingfisha, the solemn Aveline, and more often than not the eager Raisa. He still remembered the shine in her eyes when they tangibly sparked with curiosity. They had parted ways with merely her promise to visit and there were times he wistfully looked toward the shores of distant Tinuvel in hopes of seeing her coming his way.

This was not one of those moments, however, he was merely out on his daily trek around the borders. Checking here and there to make sure all was as it should be still when he caught an oddly familiar scent. His head jerked up eagerly and he gave a loud call for her. It had to be her! He set out in a brisk trot doing his best to follow her trail from the waters edge and up into the rolling hills. He flew through the twists and turns of the well worn trails until he finally laid eyes on her black form stark against the summer green. Once more he gave an excited call toward her as he pulled hard to a stop a huge, lopsided grin wide on his face.

He stretched out his painted nose to brush softly against her face where black and white came together (something that would always fascinate him) before pulling back to look her over. “I hoped you would come,” he said, his words came with the heavy breaths from his previous run toward her. To be truthful he hadn't dared hope she would come for the disappointment that could bring him, but here she stood still. He should say something else he thought, but honestly all he could do was look at her and smile.
