i'll sing it one last time for you

Lifting her head, half-aware of the sounds of movement off to her side, Isoke had been startled to find herself looking a complete stranger in the eye. Overcome with instinctual fear, she had frozen stiff and watched him with brown eyes wide for a few long moments; once she had determined him not to be a threat, she relaxed.

And now, as he approaches her, she muses to herself, he looks as rough as I feel. His fine chestnut pelt is covered all over in sweat and sand, and when he speaks his voice is low, rugged: as if he has just woken up. He is a little taller than her, and she notices with a jolt that one of his eyes is milky and unseeing. Like Anawar.

For a split second she entertains the idea that they are long-lost half brothers, but trashes it just as quickly. Then, panicking slightly and pinning her ears back to regard the stallion with as much composure as she can manage, she wonders what sort of epidemic has been causing so much blindness on Atlantis. Just pure bad luck, I hope.

She takes a step backwards: she cannot help it, for he has stopped nearer to her than she likes. She lowers her head, averting her gaze briefly, then looks back up at him with wide doe eyes. "Y-yes. I'm sorry for trespassing, sir... I was just leaving, actually."
