Nikola was more than happy when Larka replied as she did.

”I think I would love to join you there.”

It was a simple sentence than held so much potential and hope. It was the beginning of something great. He could feel it in the tingle of his spine, pelt bristling with excitement. His first mare... He didn't know how others reacted in a time like this but he couldn't stop the excitement from bubbling over, though he kept his composure on the outside. Where he was from, there were no individual herds. It was one big community and he was certainly not one of the elders. He was a young pup in their eyes and thus not allowed certain privileges. Mares being one of them.

"Well then, M'lady, right this way!" he replied ever-so-eager, draping his leg across an extended leg as if ushering her towards the shore. "'Tis but a short swim to the island of Atlantis but better stick close to me in case of rough weather." It wasn't as close at Tinuvel but it sure as shit was better than having to swim all the way back to Luthien.

Wading into the ocean once more with the black and white mare at his side, he launched himself into the waves and swam in the direction from which he came. Back to his stormy isle.

The swim was uneventful as far as weather went. In the distance he could see storm clouds and, against commons sense, they excited him. Making sure to keep an eye out on the femme in town, Nikola lead them past the chilly waters of Tinuvel, the drop in temperature licking his legs, sending chills up and down his spine as he passed. There was a notable change in the feeling of the water surrounding Atlantis. It was pleasantly warm without being tepid, alive with life where as the neighboring island waters felt barren and dead. It wasn't true of course, and he could just be biased.

When they reached the shores of his homeland, he trudged up them confidently, turning once on solid land to make sure Larka was faring well. "How are you? Not too hard of a swim I hope.. I would hate for you to feel isolated out here.." There was a smile on his lips.. obviously happy to be home with Larka in tow.
