After she had caught her breath, Pierce wanted to flop over and sleep for a month. But she would never admit to that and she walked forward some more. She was interested to see what kind of mares Nikola had acquired before she came along. The mare flared her nostrils, breathing in the scent of her new home. It was wet. Great. Now that she was back in a herd she would have to take that duty as a herd mare. She almost dreaded the thought of it but this stallion gave her a place to stay, and there probably wasn't much to do around here anyway. Plus, it's not like she could avoid that for her entire life.
"Let's just get back to your herd," she said irritably. She was soaked to the bones and they were aching. Meeting whoever else called this home was also a task she wanted to get done and over with. Given her tired and wet condition the little mare began walking without a trace of the pain she held inside.
