Poor Ava felt bad for having to choose between them. It wasn't exactly personal of course. She had a big heart and didn't want to disappoint anyone, especially someone who had taken an interest in her. What it came down to was the basic instinct of all animals: who would be the best candidate that would produce the strongest young to carry on the species. Call her old school but keep in mind the little mare had come from a different land; one that was much more traditional. They chose who went with what stallion based on who will produce offspring that would survive, not based on love. And that is where miss Ava differed from her herd. She did indeed have a big heart and therefore was out for a little more than a good producing stallion. Ava hoped with her innocent heart that this Mafioso would prove to be more than her lead stallion. She felt his soft touch on her chest and where he touched her exploded with sparks and a warm feeling. Her mother was the only one who had ever touched her before so this was something new and nearly overwhelmingly exciting. Ava could get used to this. She reached up with her duo colored nose and ran it along his neck. Her curious blue eyes now turned to the black and white lead and watched him get ready to enter the ocean.

Of course they had to swim the crossing to get to his island.. Why didn't she think of this earlier? Ava had no experience swimming with currents but she wouldn't dare let the stallion think she was unworthy. Lean grey and ivory legs carried her into the water until the ocean's water lapped at her sides. Swimming wasn't too bad for her as she followed him to his home. She wondered though, were there dark monsters waiting to drag her under? The mare had heard of thousand-teethed beasts that lived in the ocean. Her heart raced at the thought but she used the adrenaline to swim harder and brought herself to the stallion's side

Finally hooves greeted sand and she lifted herself out of the water. Blue eyes the color of the sky observed her new home. There were large patches of snow and ice covering the ground. Snow was one thing she knew well. Ava liked it already for it reminded her of home. She looked to her lead with soft eyes. "Thank you for giving me a home." No matter what his intentions were she was always taught to be thankful of what she had. Ava's blue eyes gazed at him with a touch of longing and a hint of flirtatiousness. The little mare went from looking at him to back at her new home. "I love it already." she hoped this would give him a sense of ease. Ava wasn't one to run off or run away from somewhere... and possibly someone, she loved.
