Let there be fire.

Beschea

The irony could be seen in the mare being more stubborn than even Badr himself, standing off to the far right of her, stooping his head to nibble at some dried grasses and watching her carefully out of the corner of his eye. As she starts yelling at the heavens, he draws up some concern. Was she a nutcase? Turning his head all around, the flaxen maned stallion stares at the mare long and hard as she blurts out words that sound like nonsense, only drawing the attention of the vultures in closer and causing some form of worry in the stallion’s mind.

Scavengers were not animals to be trifled with, and even on bad days Badr did his best to leave the beast be, even if the vultures were circling over him when he sprawled out in the sun, as he often did. He did not need an angry flock of birds constantly badgering the inhabitants of his lovely desert home because they had been goaded into imagining that every one that walked on four feet was about to drop dead at any moment, with nothing else to protect them but vile words.

So, of course, he moves closer to the mare, stubbornly turning up his nose and, with a little grunt, he heads off in the direction of the largest watering hole, where there was green grasses and leaning trees.

He left it to the girl to decide whether or not she would follow.

Once they make it to the watering hole, the stallion does not bother in getting the girl acquainted with the best method to satiate her undying thirst, but instead he will let her get sick by bloating on the water, while he himself stayed to the edges of the pool, still dragging his head as he found the grasses her sweeter and offering better taste and supplement than the desert grasses he had grazed on earlier. Of course, had the mare walked for nearly twenty more minutes, she would have spotted the large, green oasis with little difficulty- but of course she had to be difficult. Glancing to his side, he looks the girl over for a moment before uttering two words to her. “You’re stupid.” He says it rather flatly, watching her for a moment before going back to his grazing.
