 Perhaps snake is an accurate word to use to describe the stallion.
He was like the unrelenting force of the sandstorms that race aross the desert, pushing over the dunes and making it’s way to the ocean- where only there, the winds would die down and the dust would settle over the water, leaving debris in the form of golden sands everywhere. Oasises would disappear, and desert sands were killed, forcing any sort of living creature to relocate in order to survive. And it all came back to that- surviving. Badr is not here to shove the stallion off his land, but instead to challenge him, to show that he is not going to roll over- despite this visitor being the previous companion to two women now caged in the desert. But they are his now, as he should defend them to the death. What honor, this misguided vigilante. Still yanking his head around, preparing for another attack, he snaps his teeth as the trespasser squeals and darts away, having awoken something satisfactory within the flaxen maned stallion, and he temporarily relents, leaning back, his ears still stuck to his mane, and his lips still pulled back to reveal yellowed teeth, Badr coils himself like a waiting viper, ready to strike should the other male’s words displease him. Of course, he plays the part of appearing submissive, but the desert stallion is not so easily convinced, and shifts his weight, turning so his shoulder and ribs are facing the stallion and watching him carefully out of one eye. As the grullo stallion speaks, Badr furrows his brow (of course, if horses had brows) and spits words back out at him. “Speak english, you bloody idiot.” badr The misguided jailbird. stallion. flaxen liver chestnut. unknown crossbreed. ee aa ff. fifteen & three hands. eight years. russell. |
