The skinny bay had been moping about. She had seen the other mare, Vesti, once while they were captured but Badr. Pierce almost felt bad for the chestnut mare, but then that wouldn't be in character for herself. So when Nikola showed up on the shore of the Dunes, she expected him to take Vesti home to safety since she could care for herself. Her ears shot up as his southern accent spilled her name as his choice. Shock and rage and confusion shot through her veins and the mare wasn't sure what to do. Without a word or glance back she dove into the salty water and struggled through the current. Pierce had to do it, before she second guessed herself. Without looking back to see if Nikola was coming, she made her way rather quickly to the Ridge. The bay pulled herself out of the water and onto the beach. Her legs shook with weakness and she waited Niks arrival. Why would he bring her home and not the popular Vesti? Pierce had been nothing but cruel to him and everyone else here. And that probably wouldn't change. The mare paced the shore, anxiously thinking what she would do. Lash out? Give him some love? What was love anyway? How would one show gratitude? The mare had no idea but something would happen when the stallion returned. Replies:
