Acorn walked on the edge of the beach, heading towards a different territory. Ivan, Earthshine, and Eliska were the only ones in the Hills with her, now. The chestnut mare had been craving to explore the other areas on the island and tonight seemed like a good night. She had spent the day at the Falls, playing in the lake with the yearlings. It had been cool during the day, leaving Acorn dreading to return back to the Hills. But she went anyway and by the time she arrived, night had fell. The chestnut mare did not feel like sleeping, so she ended up where she was now. The mix stopped, staring at the land she had arrived at. It was like the beach never ended, though the sand seemed to have a more redish color. Acorn left the beach, instead wandering into the new area.

The sand shifted when the wind blew, almost like it did in the desert. Acorn didn't understand why the Hills didn't have any sand, but she guessed that all the sand there was blown away to the other territories. Perhaps the Hills were so large that the sand wasn't able to get back in? The chestnut mare pondered over her options, but finally decided that all the sand simply blew away. The sand here bunched together, making hills as well. She remembered Blackberry telling her about her home once, with a stallion named Roman. But there was no scent of her sister, meaning that she had left. Were they somewhere else, though? Could her sister be living at a different island now? The chestnut mare sighed, instead searching for the name of this place. It fit her sister's description so well, but what if Acorn was wrong?
