Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

The midday sun shined down on the multi-coloured teen as he made his way up the steep mountain. Wiggling his rump as he prepared to jump from the rock he was perched on to a different rock higher up on the mountain, he narrowed his light amber eyes in concentration. It wouldn't do to fall when he was so close to the top. But just as he was about to jump, a very bothersome crow chose that exact time to caw. Taken off guard and very startled, Rift yelped and lost his footing. He skidded down the side of the rock he was on, and landed on his back on a lower ledge.

"Oww.." he mumbled to himself, squirming around a little bit to make sure nothing was broken before he sat up. Licking at his paw, audits pressed back against his head in at embarresment, he tried to act as if that was exactly what he had meant to do- if anyone was watching. Thinking that enough time had passed with him looking nonchalant, he decided to figure out how exactly he was going to get back up...

Shaking out his stark white mane, Rift looked up at the two towering rocks. the one he had been on, and the one he had been trying to get to. Darn it, the teen thought with a pout. Today's adventure is not going as planned. I was supposed to already be at the mountain's summit by now. He sighed, but this was but a minor setback in his plan.
