let me tell you why i would die for you

let me light up the sky, light it up for you

She is sorrowful at the loss of Tarrant; she has lost a great friend in him, she feels, but now he and his son have disappeared, leaving her alone in the Inlet with nowhere to call home. Still, she knows there is another stallion around, and she yearns to meet him. Inlet simply feels like home to her, and so she wanders the snow-speckled ground and thinks. Soon, it will be breeding season again, and she wonders if this time she is ready for another foal. It will be a difficult decision for her, and she will most likely base it on whether or not her stallion of choice understood. Losing Mozart had been so traumatic for her, and she is unwilling to go through that again.

Pulse sighs, and her tail twitches against her hocks as she pulls to a halt. Though it is spring, it is still cold here in the Inlet, and her breath ghosts, swirling upwards in intricate patterns of vapor and steam. Her eyes watch the progress for a moment, before she starts up her slow walk again. It is not long before she comes across Winter and what appears to be the stallion that was now the owner of the Inlet. Lips pulling downward, she sighed again, moving over to the pair with great trepidation. She is not certain she wants to meet the new stallion, but she feels that she should be there for Winter. They had met only once, and then very briefly, but the sight of a familiar face soothes Pulse.

Hello, Winter,” she murmurs pleasantly, a soft smile forming on her lips as the frown of earlier fades away, forgotten. Her eyes train onto the stallion then, noticing his odd coloring. He is dark, a roan, but almost purple in tone. It is strange, and she admires his coloring for a moment before she offers him a tense smile. She is nervous, and it shows in her fidgets; she shifts her weight back and forth, and her ears do not stay in one direction, flickering this way and that. “I am Pulse. I was going to call this my home when Tarrant ruled, but…I see it has changed hands.” Her voice carries her sadness, and it reflects in her brown eyes. Still, she has Spartan, and she hopes that if she decides to reside here, she will be able to visit him just as she has been.
