You Left Without Saying Goodbye

If anyone knew the pain you felt when someone left along with the betrayal hurt and anger that was fueled by all the emotions it was Eli. He had gone through enough heartache to make him a little more wise to just welcoming those around you into your personal life so freely. Unfortunately along his journey he had lost a couple he loved dearly to death and others who he had left not knowing what else to do but flee when things came crashing down. In his selfish yet needed process of doing do he left behind his children who he loved dearly and the one mare who stuck by him longer than anyone else, Constantine.
Recently he ran into her in the falls but she didn’t say much other then have questions that he did not have answers to at the time or if he did they were not what she wanted to hear and watching hurt flash through her eyes Eli decided to stop the conversation. Right after that he ran into his daughter who spent most of her pregnancy inquiring about life and what she was meant to do in this world along with the one who she choose to be with, Midas. Eli being a father kept her near him and guided her along her path to womanhood. His precious baby girl was so grown up and far smarter than most on the simple fact of she paid attention to suddle signs. It was a gift and a curse for right now in her life she was starting to open her eyes to the harsh reality that her life and who she meant to those she cared for may not be the same on the receiving end.

Thinking of her now as he slipped quietly along the golden sand at a lazy trot Eli frowned. He wanted to ask Sylvia to come home now that Eli had found his way back into the paradise like he desperately wished for all along but he knew better. Sylvia was a grown mare with her own daughter and she was so in love with Midas that it made Eli think of how Constantine use to look at him way back when before life took a turn and things became different.

Coming around a corner and with grass up ahead Eli’s soft blue spheres came across a aureate and white banshee standing alone with a young foal by her side. It made Eli slow his pace to a walk and switch his direction making it to where instead of passing them he was coming at them directly. Sweat started to bead around his forehead and neck and his breathing was slightly labored. Soon he figured he would get use to the ankle deep sand and it wouldn’t feel like such a work out.

Nearing them he dropped his portal allowing his long forelock to dance across his cheeks moving just enough to show one of his blue eyes. ”Hello, Talynne?” looking over at the young foal Eli assumed this must be her son she mentioned. His youthful expression made his own sons face flash through his mind as a pain of guilt and longing to see Lyden came boiling up. Perhaps he would even come rule with Eli. He however also reminded him of his granddaughter who was around his age. ”hello buddy, I’m Eli” offering his nose to his in a respectful manner he did the same to the mare who was rather pretty. Eli had always had a soft spot for lighter colored horses and something about golden ones he couldn’t help but admire.

you weren't there right when i needed you the most
