Where did you come from? It was a question Yscha had never been asked before, and honestly, she hadn't thought anyone would be curious enough to know. She paused for a short moment, sighing gently to herself. Well, she began, I came from a land far away... probably one you've never heard of. My parents were wanderers, and as I grew, I wandered with them. But... that life became boring to me, so I left them, and came here. She said, her eyes seeming to take on a glazed look as she thought of her parents, who had always done such a good job of making her feel safe and loved. It was a bittersweet thing, having to leave them behind. She was excited to be on her own, but of course she would miss them dearly.

But she did not regret leaving. Yscha would never regret leaving her parents behind in search of a newer, better, more exciting life. It pained her to know they were alone without her, but she took comfort in the knowledge that they would have each other - and possibly, in the future - more children to raise and keep them company. After all, they were still rather young and youth still glowed upon their coats and in their eyes. There was no doubt they would get along just fine without Yscha.

Turning her attention back to Kieron, Yscha smiled at him politely. What about you? May I know of your past, Kieron? she questioned, hints of curiosity gleaming in her nutmeg-colored eyes. She had told him about her past (albeit not a whole lot, but still), and she wanted to shift the subject away from herself. He was the important one here, after all. She was but a lowly herd mare... right?
