Heavy lidded eyes seemed to droop even lower under the light of the moon. A black shape shifting ever so slightly against the wall of rocks that made up the small cave that Kieron had showed her when she first arrive,. But since then, the arabian lass had made herself scarse, only returning in time for breeding season and disappearing once the deed was done. It wasn't her fault for dropping him like a rock right now. Avasha was hurting, not only deep inside but on the outside as well. With her left side pressed up against cool rocks, her right half was exposed to the light of the moon, and allowed anyone looking to take in the thin trail of a scar that ran from her shoulder, down her leg and to her hoof. No matter how much healing its had, it still ached and if she were to over work herself, the skin underneath would surely tear again. She could not have that and had kept hidden to keep not only herself but her future children alive as well.
Perhaps her choice to stay away had been a bad thing, but Kieron could be understanding, she knew that. He was almost like Reisis had been. A smile graced her lips at the thought. Now she had two men who cared for her, even if one had turned tail and ran out on her twice. but the future can change and if he were to come back, Avasha would be smart and turn him away. Because of him, she'd lost a friend and two kids, one being dead. She shook her head, moonlght catching on her brown orbs. She had a stable home now, a stable life and quite possibly a knew stallion to love. She didn't need anything to mess all this up. She could finally be happy again. Pushing off the side of the the small cave, her hoofs left sand to tread across the small pool of water and into the forest itself, the black shadows casted by the tall pines allowing her to blend well against her nightime background. She had one thing on her mind, to find Kieron. |
