Maybe she’s just lost. That seems like it’s a pretty legitimate idea. Earthshine had run out of places to be, so she popped up in the last place she knew was… well… right. It was the last place that had been her home, so she simply came back. It wasn’t a big deal to return. She’d deal with that.

Nothing has ever been terribly concrete for Earthshine, so she’s never dealt much with the repercussions. The mare can stand it… you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen, right? What she has a harder time taking is the cold. Sure, she was born to it, but she hadn’t lived it in ages. It was sad. She missed it some days, the dog days of summer mostly, but now? Now it didn’t fit. This wasn’t the old pair of broken in jeans she missed… they belonged to a suit she may have worn for Christmas dinner when she was a younger woman. The saddest part was that she wasn’t that old. Maybe it was all in how you felt.

There are a million subtleties that hang in the air between the blue and the black. They don’t ignore each other, at least Earthshine is pretty sure that’s not what’s happening. No, the mare listens quietly. It’s interesting the way she studies Solgar without looking too hard. She’s trying to read the way he acts and reacts but it’s all done in an attempt at subtlety. Don’t want to look like a creeper, after all.

At his question her tail flickers, a long breath blown through her nose. ”I wasn’t expecting much at all. Everything seems to go through seasons here. It’s been an off one for a while.” The mare lowers her head, rubbing her foreleg absently. ”You appear to have a fair amount of company here. It’s nice to see someone here.” The mare misses the thriving days of old. Maybe it can come back after all.
