Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

I Need a Hero

It takes some time for Heyel to calm down, he does it within the shadows and away from me. I understand and respect his privacy. I try to keep myself calm and think of something. There is nothing I can do. The only thing I could do is try to lick my own wound, but it would surely risk an infection and it wouldn’t help much. I need Heyel, that’s all. Nobody would reach us on time. I need quick help. Oh… I should have stayed in the safety of my den. Now look what happened to me! And the trouble I am giving Heyel. I never felt so ashamed in my life as well. What would he think of me now? I take my time, trying to calm down.

He finally came out, when I told him I am hurt. He approached my broken form, seeming a bit anxious… Or… Nervous. Anger clear for a brief second. Being angry now would hardly help. The creatures already paid for their actions. The silvery goddess, have judged and it is up to her if there will be two more stars in the night sky or not. The silvery goddess does not protect, does not help… There are wolves who say that the goddess does help, but only the purest hearted wolves. I don’t know… I have been taught she only watches, every single wolf in this world, she knows everything. When a wolf dies, she judges him or her by their actions. If the wolf proves himself worth of eternal life, another star shines in the night sky beside her.

I am still angry at the wolves who tried to… Oh! It had been too much for me! If I could defend myself! If it wasn’t for Heyel, they would probably have succeeded. Now, only shame floods my heart as Heyel looks at the wound on my shoulder. I lifted my head and asked him if he knew moss. He is quick to answer and tells me I am not talking sense… Ooh! I explain to him and he gets it. I asked if he could find it… Not that I didn’t trust him. I do trust him to find the plant. He must have seen it a thousand times with healers before. He turns from me and lunges into the darkness, leaving me alone. I allowed my head to fall upon the strange shaped tree. It was almost like a bed, allowing my body to rest on it. It wouldn’t take long for the white king to find the plant, we were close to a waterfall. I waited, a bit more calm now, knowing that Heyel wouldn’t leave me and I was not alone. I raised to my paws and with a bit of an effort and my right paw brought close to my chest, I looked for a bark. I needed a hard bark to bite on. I know it will hurt when Heyel comes back. It doesn’t take long before I find a good and hard bark, it is not long and not thin… good. I took it in my mouth and went back to my spot, trying not to look at the lifeless forms of the wolves. I laid against the tree again and waited, putting the bark on the tree, close to me.

Not too long later, Heyel’s form emerged from the darkness. My head lifted once more and my gaze fell upon his form. In his mouth, he brought moss. He approached easily and dropped the plant by my paws. He proceeded to speak. I frowned… Well… Let’s do it…

- it’s easy. Just take the plant and put it over the wound. It will stop the bleeding… Just press it hard against the wound… - I prepared myself, taking the bark with my mouth once again, just waiting for Heyel to do what needed to be done.

I looked at him and gave a nod of my head, letting him know I am ready for it.
