you'll have a tale or two to tell [[any]]

The young mare really had grown. She moved with ease through the Forest that had been the only home she knew. She didn't wish to leave - yet she was too curious for her own good. The pintaloosa certainly stood out in the spring-filled forest. She knew spring was a beautiful time but she was too young to care.

She was convinced in her own maturity as most would be at her age. She was innocent still - but confident. She had been off the islands before and she was thinking about doing so again. Pleiades snorted. There were new mares and she had not spent any time among her herdmates.

Maybe it was time to correct that. Her mother had been rather depressed and was an unsociable companion. Pleiades was too young to understand what had happened over the winter - that her mother had miscarried and birthed a dead baby. She didn't know how that might effect anyone.

All Pleiades knew was that the Forest was too quiet and too old. There was nothing of interest anymore in these old trees and rabbit trails.
