Well what appears to be tufts is vegetation. When the entire set of pictures is viewed, the tufts disappear when the cat moves, and the tufts remained and can be associated with vegetation. There has never been confirmed a mountain lion lynx/bobcat crossbreed. Several taxidermists from out west weighed in on this cat, and without hesitation said its a juvenile cougar. But there have been the biologists, mostly from the east, that insist its a bobcat. I've never seen a bobcat that looked quite like that cat, and certainly not with a long tail.-
