Disaster has struck!

She's thoughtful when I ask what she'd like to eat. I wait patiently for her answer, looking forward to doing this with my imprint. Finally she tells me that she wants a pork. A pig? She wants to hunt a pig? I wag my tail along with her, though all I can think about is how dangerous it could be to hunt a boar with Laila. What if something happens to her? I won't let it. My face sets in determination. I promised her that I wouldn't let anything hurt her and I meant it. She watches me, studying my expressions. I know she can read me better than any book. She knows that I'm still hurting over Belinda's death but I'm trying to move on, really, I am. She helps me more than she knows. I look at her when she tells me that she doesn't know where to find one. I think for a moment then I smirk a little, a playful gleam in my eyes. "Well then I guess it's a good thing you have me. I happen to be an excellent tracker. Watch and learn, babe." I even give her a mischeveious wink before I start sniffing the air. Sure enough, I manage to come across a female boar from a week ago or so. They don't move around much since they're terrtorial and it's almost breeding time so she'll stay close to the protection of the male boars. I pick up her trail and start after it at a run, knowing that Laila can keep up. My tail wags behind me, excitement running through my veins. At one point she rubs against me, setting my skin on fire and I turn back to give her a heart breaking smile, letting her know my every desire for her and only her. Then I'm off, running again after the trail of the boar. It doesn't take long before I hear some far off snorting and rustling. It's close! I look back, excitement in my eyes as I find Laila's gaze, a bright smile all for her as I turn back to the prize. Crouching low, I move in close toward the boar, stopping when I'm still out of range. I wait patiently for Laila to reach me, my skin already tingling, aching for her touch already. |
